The Adoption Council of Canada, in partnership with the Edmonton and Area Child and Family Services Authority (CFSA) and Syked Photography, is launching an innovative program, Heart Gallery Edmonton, to find homes for children and youth in foster care who need permanent families.

The Heart Gallery's mission is to use the power of photography to capture the individuality and dignity of waiting children and youth, to raise public awareness about their needs, to obtain support to meet those needs, and to find permanent homes for them. Our hope is that potential adoptive parents who see the portraits of these waiting children and youth will contact the CFSA to learn about how they can begin the adoption process.

We are launching Heart Gallery Edmonton at the Art Gallery of Alberta on Thursday, November 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. As space is limited, RSVP is required. The deadline to reserve your spot is Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Please RSVP to: Region6.Caregiver@gov.ab.ca
